Witches Falls Gift House
People often ask “… why the name Witches Falls?” unaware that the area adjacent to the shop is “Witches Falls National Park” – the oldest National Park in Queensland. It is rumoured that the name Witches Falls “stuck” after residents west of Tamborine Mountain saw lights on the side of the mountain many years ago, and attributed them to “the Mountain Witches …”.
“Witches Falls Gift House” stocks a large range of sought after antiques and collectibles, including Shelly, Royal Doulton, Crown Derby, Wedgwood, Meakin, Kutani, Sathuma, Royal Dux, Lladro & Nao, Beswick, David Winter … to name a few.
Shop owners Noelina & Phil Jackson have spent a lifetime selecting interesting and rare items for you to see, admire and, if you really like, to buy at very reasonable prices. Their collection of old world charmers and gifts for all occasions include antiques of solid mahogany, walnut, silky and English oak and other rare and exotic timbers.
All stock is usually marked for sale at prices below that which you would expect to pay for “modern” counterparts.
Phil has many years experience in furniture making and a flair for bringing old pieces “back to life”. Repair and restoration of furniture and rare porcelain is his preference, while Noelina is a skilled artisan with materials and her extensive range of old jewelery.
A number of local artists have also entrusted their precious creations to Phil & Noel’s care and they are always looking for different and unusual things to include in their range of goods for sale.
